Salvation:
I am speaking these words to all of you that feel a deep void in your heart, to all of you who are suffering from day to day, and to all of you that feel lost in this world. Take comfort, because you don't have to suffer any longer. The Lord, Our God, can take that void that is in your heart and fill it with his love, He can take your suffering (whether it be physical or mental suffering) and make you whole, and He can will show the one's of you that are lost; the right path.
Our sins are what have kept us away from God. As the Bible says in Isaiah 64:6, ? But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousness are as a filthy rag?? This all started with the first man that God created, Adam, and has continued throughout every generation since and will continue through every generation to come. Once again, let?s revert back to the Bible, Romans 3:23 says, ?For all have sinned, and come short the glory of God.?
Many, many years ago Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was hung on a cross and left to die there as a sacrifice for all of our sins. He died on that cross, so that we can make it into the kingdom of heaven. As the old saying goes," While he was on the cross, I was on his mind."
You see, God himself is so holy that there is no way man could even look upon his face. Man needed some way to get to God. This is where Jesus came in... Lets take a look at a Biblical scripture that points this out: John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him, shall not perish but have everlasting life."
Jesus was the ultimate and final sacrifice. If you will read in the Old Testament, you will find many examples of the animal sacrifices that men made to God for the attonement or forgiveness of their sins. Man had to make these sacrifices to have a relationship with God. Even by making these sacrifices, man still fell short daily and could not make enough sacrifices to cover all of their sins. So God sent Jesus, his only Son, as the last and final sacrifice for man's sins. The same way that man would sacrifice one of their animals, God sacrificed his only Son for the sins of all men. By doing this, all man's sins (including yours and mine) are forgiven by the blood of Jesus Christ.
Three days after Jesus Christ died on that old cross, he arose from the dead. This is why we celebrate Easter. You see, we are not worshipping a dead God, we are worshipping a living God. Right now, Jesus Christ is in heaven sitting at the right hand of God waiting for each one of us to accept this gift that he has given to the world.
Now, saying all of this, you can see why Jesus Christ is so important. He died, so that we could be saved. Now is the time for you to accept this wonderful gift that God has given to us~The blood of Jesus Christ. Open your heart and believe that Jesus loves you and died so that you can be saved. Revelations 3:20," Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the dorr, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." The Lord is standing at the door of your heart knocking, Will you open the door and let him come in to you?
I know that this life is hard. It is filled with heavy burdens and many temptations. God can ease your pain and remove the temptaions. For example Jesus says in Matthew 11:28-30, " Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light" and Matthew 6:13, The Lord's Prayer, "Lead me not into temptaion, but deliver me from evil..."
Throughout my music, you will learn about some things that I have been through, some temptations that I dealt with, and some of the problems that I have overcame. But sine I cried out to God to save me and make me whole, to forgive me, and to fill me with the Holy Spirit that void in my life has been completely filled. 2 Corninthians 5:17 says," Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are new."
All you have to do to be saved is believe that Jesus died and arose 3 days later, confess your sins to Him and ask Him for His forgiveness, ask Him to save your soul, and open the door to your heart so that He may come in and dwell inside of you. All you have to do is ask and He will do these things for you. It is as simple as that!!
After you are saved, you will have a renewed feeling about life. Your burdens will no longer be so heavy because God will carry them for you. You now have someone that you can count on each and every day. Also at this time, God will leave the Holy Spirit with you to teach you how to live a life that would be pleasing to him.
God loves us all and want us to fellowship with him daily. A great way to have fellowship with God is to pray and read your Bible daily. God uses the Bible to talk to us. He will show you things in the scriptures that will stand out to you, and that you will be able to apply to your daily life.
I have also learned that another great way to fellowship with God is to start a prayer journal. It doesn't have to be anything fancy, it doesn't matter what is on the outside; what is on the inside is what is important. Record your prayers, thoughts, and feelings each day. I think that this is a wonderful tool, it allows you to open up more than you usually would during your prayers. It also allows you a way to go back and read about what you were struggling with and clearly shows you how God answered your prayer.
My God is a loving God!! He only wants the best for me and you!! In return all He asks of us is to live a life that would be pleasing to him by being kind, generous, loving, helpful, etc. As the Bible says "Love thy neighbor as yourself."
Becoming a christian is a wonderful life-altering thing!! I said a prayer while typing this up, I prayed that God would give me the words to put on here, He would give me the words that would touch someone's heart, and he would give me the words that would honor His name.
